Introduction

Founded in March 1517 by Richard Fox, then Bishop of Winchester - one of the leading statesmen in the reigns of Henry VII and Henry VIII – put into the statutes that it should be like a beehive: Full of industrious activity and producing much sweetness.
We like to think that the image of the hive still fits, since Corpus is a very active place, productive of scholarship, political and academic debate, music, drama and management thinking.

Corpus has been in the communication business for over 475 years, so we think we know a little about what it takes to get your message across.  It’s founder’s intention as always that Corpus be devoted to the increase of learning.

People from across the world have found the cloistered calm and rural outlook of Corpus to be the ideal place to meet, discuss, plan and deliberate, whilst still only being 100 metres or so from Oxford’s famous High and the bustle of the nearby city centre with it’s renowned historic attractions.

Non-residential events are welcomed all year round and Corpus offers a choice of 8 conference rooms and excellent cuisine in the Tudor Dining Hall.  Residential events are welcomed during University vacations – the exact dates vary from year to year but are usually:-

Early January, Late March – mid April, Late June – mid September.
